Gauge install!! Please help!

Ok I just recently purchased 3 autometer gauges for my evo. Boost, water temp and oil pressure, installed the boost gauge and it works fine. I am trying to install the water temp gauge but I cant figure out how to get both the factory temp gauge and the autometer to both work, I know some of you guys have done it... HOW??????? Do I nstall the autometer temp sender or leave the stock one? When i tried to wire the new autometer to the factory sender it said my water temp was 230 degree's and my factory gauge did nothing. Please help.

Im not positive but the stock sensor may not work with the Autometer gauge.

Most setup's I have seen use the T as mentioned above.

No need to fabricate. This is what you need.

You're willing to fabricate but not willing to cut up your $8 radiator hose?

You need to drain the coolant first. How are you gonna tee off the stock sender unit? If you pull the stock sender off to tee it, coolant is also gonna drain out.

Attaching temperature sending units to tees isn't such a great idea if you're looking for an accurate reading. A tee works fine for pressure senders but for temperature the sensor needs to be in the flow of fluid otherwise you're waiting for the heat to migrate to the relatively stagnant fluid in the tee.

The primary reason I installed an 1/8" NPT bung on my oil pan was so I could get an accurate oil temperature reading.
