Is it really possible to get 500 real hp with the small exhaust side? And what about surge with the small exhaust housing?

Yes it is. It's basically a GT30 hotside, the compressor wheel is a 35R. You will want a surge ported compressor housing to run much over 25lbs, like this:

Ok, so the ATP 3076 it is (gt std exhaust housing).

But which a/r should I get?

how much different in spool between the 0,63 and 0,82?

How much more power with the larger one?

Anyone measured the backpressure on the smaller one at 2 bar?

Any surge problems with the smaller?

Thanks!

One more question, what do you think about the Forced Performance GT3076 compared to the ATP turbo GT3076? Or maybe it is the same?

I am not talking about the ones with exhaust housings to fit the evo stock manifold, I will have my own tubular manifold.

Stroke it to 2.3 and go with a 3076.

If you asked me about this a couple of weeks ago, I would have chosen the GT35 due to the "go big or go home" mentality.

Right now, I would choose the 3071. It suits the Evo very well, and should be great on a road course. With the right supporting mods and methanol it should allow your car to break into the 11s as well.

Go with the 3071R, trust me. Tuned right it will make good power and will have a great spoolup for what you are doing. With cams you can easily make 450 or more.

I have been searching the forum for info regarding the gt3040bb turbo but can't find much. It should be a good compromise between the 3076 and 35r..??

Why aren't more people running this turbo?
