is that about the time for the stock clutches to go in the evo's? my b/f is in jail and i'm limited on money. any suggestions on what to replace it with and where to buy it from? i have a few mechanic friends that are going to "attempt" to do it themselves.

An ACT Street Disk runs for $520 or 725 w/ flywheel from gruppe-s. I have the ACT and love it. The clutch pedal is hard to push down compared to stock but you get use to it. Becarful with the install as the Evo is AWD and its harder to do.

Pm me who owns the car and what color and mods it has. I have a place that'll do the clutch job for 300 bucks.

yeah, most clutches (if they have any launching going on) go out even sooner. get the act, it rocks!

on a side note, did your b/f rob a bank? I read your sig, and it sounded like robbing a bank..lol

if all you care about is getting a clutch and driving the car...I would say stock clutch from the dealer. Just don't race on it.

Whichever you choose, make sure it's a damn good installer. Use the Search to find a CRAPLOAD of threads on this topic. 40K is average at least - many lost them sooner. It's a function of how you drive and how well you drive a stick. Just get it done RIGHT.
