the lancershop ones are regular spark plugs, the JSC ones are iridium. If you look on the lancershop page a little lower they will also have the iridium ones too, I think they are $31.95 or something like that.

Alright,

I'll give the regular plugs a shot, they are $1.80/ea at advanced auto parts. If I have problems then I'll go to the shop. thanks for the tips and I will size them to .28!

-thanks again doods!

I believe you are missing a 0. Here are 2 good treads:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...spark+plug+gap
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...spark+plug+gap

Less gap is for blow out. But more gap will give you a larger spark kernel, but and increase chance of blow out.

ill trade you for your test pipe and fix for a stock cat. i don't care about the fix though, i already have a P0420 from wideband tuning and im getting a a scanner anyways. i don't think you will pass emiisions with a test pipe either, so even if you don't want to trade you should try and buy one.

those other people might actual have a problem. compression test i think would be the next step.

don't worry about the dealer, they will not void any part of your warranty b/c you have a test pipe besides your emissions warranty. if they do, you have bigger problems, especially if the clutch was changed out.

buschar gaps his at .24, but he has a monster for a car. just goes to show you, different strokes for different folks (.24-.32). find out what your car wants the plugs gapped at by regularly checking the gap and wear on the plugs. a good starting point, and general consensus, seems to be around .27-.28 though

I jusy installed the new NGK BPR7ES Turbo Spark Plugs. The old ones came out looking real bad and were the original from 20k miles ago. Really easy install thanks to the link.

UPDATE:

I just took the car out and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! The new plugs changed the car dramatically even from stand still start it was easier to start the car off.....just amazing. This was the cheapest investment $1.68/ea for plugs at advanced auto parts....20 min for the install and it feels like a new car!!

-thanks guys!

Anytime. I noticed smoother idle and starts also, speaking of which might be time to change my plugs also.

Cheers

BUMP...

Ok, went to the shop to pick my car up and they said they flased the ECU, thats what tripped the CEL. They also said that I didnt have a cat on my car, im like...i didnt know that was there....I bought it used.

So, I hope the car runs ok now and the light doesnt come back on again??

They also changed a rusted exhaust pipe in the front that rattled.

-peace,
