I just changed exhaust and the new one didnt have a 02 sensor bung on it. Will get one welded on soon but in the meantime will it be ok for not having one installed?

Your fine running without the 2nd 02 sensor, you'll have a SES but it will not harm the car.

See ^^^^. You would be crazy running without the 1st 02 sensor.

1st 02 sensor means the 02 sensor that is on the 02 housing. Secondary 02 is the one on the cat/exhaust.

The "second" O2 sensor is for emissions, tells the ECU if your cat is working fine. If you have a standalone, I think this sensor is not even being used. The "first" sensor is the one in the O2 housing.

can you confirm this? Should I save my money and not get the second 02 sensor welded? As long as im not getting a CEL it should be ok right?

Yes you should be okay. If you got AEM it doesn't look for this sensor anyway.

Don't get the 02 sensor welded in. its not being used if you have an EMS. Like it was already said, the secondary 02 sensor is only for emissions not for engine management. there are plenty of eliminators on the market for it if you do get a CEL.

mechanical is great... but if you don't have a bung for it... he can't use it... and if he has a stand alone.. chances are he wont throw the light anyway
