Hallman MBC and boost tapering - stiffer wastegate actuator
Just wondering why go to a stiffer wastegate actuator to keep boost from tapering?
The tapering is caused by the "little wastegate reset hole" on the nipple on the mbc.
@moderate boost, the hole is enough to let air bleed out to keep wastegate from opening thus holding boost.
@high boost, the little hole cant keep up the job of bleeding off a lot more air, thus opening the wastegate and boost tapers.
In addition to the little wastegate reset hole, i got a bleed valve T-ed onto the wastegate line and holding 21psi to redline (datalogged with GM map sensor). Keep getting the 0234 code everytime after this little mod.
