We are doing a clutch on a 2005 right now. Yes you have to bleed the acd system with the mutt tool. Tech was *****ing about it today lol. Its not a very fun job but then again you can save alot of money doing it your self. Im pretty sure their is a way around it. Maybe someone can clear this up.

Can someone please post a HOWTO on the 05 Clutch Installation, I know there are some shops that have done them. Or maybe just the difference between the previous models.

There are 6 bolts holding the transfer case to the transmission. Well the problem with the acd is the line for the system goes into the tc right in front of 1 of the bolts. Its the one on top towards the back of the car. The way to get it off without removing the line so you dont have to bleed the system is to take out all the other bolts first then become very inovative with your tools and break loose that bolt. I had to use a hand wrench which does'nt give you that much leverage especial in such a small space. Then as you loosen the bolt pull the tc out at the same time. The bolt never leaves the transfer case but you can get the tc out. So no need to bleed at all the line never looses pressure. It takes awhile but saves you the pain and money of going to the dealer. Any more questions feel free to ask.
