Pls confirm this is the EGR solenoid

Folks:

My CEL keeps coming on with an insufficient EGR flow code. I am pretty sure the cause is the EGR solenoid is missing a vac connection due to the vac nipple being broken off.

Can someone please confirm that this is the EGR solenoid and that it is supposed to have 2 vac connections?

It is located under the intake manifold...

Thanks
Coty

Yes. That will cause that code.
The EGR valve is located below the throttle body and has two lines going to it. If they go to that solenoid then you definietly have your culprit. It's been awhile so I can't look at the picture and say 100% that that is the EGR solenoid but I'd say 99%.

I cannot really tell much from that picture :-/

Yes if its the one on the intake manifold bracket is the EGR Vaccum Regulator Solenoid. It controls the vaccum for the EGR valve. It cost about 70.00 at mitsu dealer.
