Stroker & cams
Deciding what cams to go with a 2.3 stroker and WR turbo. Would you guys sugest what would work better powerwise as turbo would spool really fast on that 2.3 liter. So I am looking for HP gains.
Also How would 280 be more beneficial than lets say 272's???

No, not necessarily. Aside from the fact that no other cam set has demonstrated the ability to consistently generate more power than the HKS cams (or quality copies thereof), the HKS cams are easier on the valvetrain - which means good reliability and less expense.
With a stroker motor, I wouldn't consider anything other than HKS 280s. Properly timed, the 280s can do anything you want, and the longer stroke will slightly lessen the effects of the longer valve overlap.

From what I can tell, too much boost. Mistake by me, had the hp actuator and just installed the Forge MBC(heavy spring). Had it set to 28 and gave it a full twist. Figuring 31-33+ psi from the rabbit, equals too much for one of the pistons. The others look fine, so it probably was a casting flaw.
I probably will end up going with a larger turbo, but don't have the cash this year for that.

Cool,
Do you already have the stroker and WR? If so, please post impressions. I imagine the powerband is pretty sweet.
My plan for "someday" is to get a 20G, WR, or other "stock replacement" turbo with TI Al wheel and 10.5 hotside. This will be a nice upgrade from my stock 03 turbo. I don't want anything laggier, and it will be a street car.
I also plan on ported/coated stock manifold and ported/coated o2 housing. I am going to stick with a flash, no meth, and probably need larger injectors. If it's ever possible, I'd love to go with a stroker and this setup. Should make killer tq and be a blast on the street, which is why I'm excited to hear about your experience.
Regarding the actual question, probably stick with HKS cams and go 272 or 280s if you have a way to make them idle nicely (if it matters to you).
Good luck,
FB
