I am very curious to actually see the difference in spoolup and hp gains. I think they are more than most 'tuners' will say. Just by removing an air filter (K&N Cone) I gained a little over a mile an hour trap consistantly. Not sure which would be more of a restriction though.... I could be dead wrong. I think most 'tuners' dont see too much of a difference they can see is because the only time they can see the 'true' HP numbers is on a dyno, which could never get anywhere close to a real track situation. Once I get mine installed I will show logs and an Acceleration/Time HP guestimate. I will do two pulls once I get it working... one with the MAF still in the car (Just not doing anything) and another without it. That will show the true gain if any. Same with spoolup.

This thread reminds me of the day the MAF Translator came out for DSMs, everyone rejoiced I used it back then and I'm sure there will be lots of great things to come for this unit, but I won't be swayed from doing it all the way this time around

Tom
Explain what you mean better. I dont understand the last line. It is the next logical step from the MAF translator. The maf translator was a great thing for DSMs.... not much for tuning but the ability to run a GM Maf is great. I think the reason the GM Maf hasnt been overly excited about for Evos is because thier MAF is FAR superior to the DSMs so it isnt really a problem for most of us. I havent read about one person needing to hack thier Evo Maf yet

Just wanted to make sure all were clear. MAFTPro removes MAF and does not require a GM MAF, hotwire or blowthrough setup, nothing. You can run it off the turbo alone with no intake if you like. You remove the MAF and that's it.
