the docs say to connect several wires to the ecu, should I splice these wires or how should I connect these? (without making a big mess)

also, I dont have my DP or manifold tapped for the sensors so I was hoping I could at least connect just the boost sensor and use that untill my DP and manifold are tapped, will this work?

it's really easy. here i have a better instruction.

It hooks to the orange boost sensor output. Has nothing to do with the ECU. So "no" not 90.

i may have t'd into the wrong spot then. i used the line off the far left side of the intake mani. i believe it is off the fpr and some type of (fuel) solenoid. sorry i did it awhile ago and could not find good instructions on installing my ebc. they said it was better to use that spot then the one off the bov. plus it was my first install. did i t the wrong line or one that gives me a less accurate reading? any help would be appreciated.

Whoa, hold up. That place is fine. It is actually the same place the dealership taps into the line for the gauge package. If you have this package already the line runs up behind the glovebox where it can also be tapped, but it is the same line.

The bov line is for tapping boost controllers.

Oh okay, I get it. The #4 pin/orange hooks to the Green wire from the boost sensor.

Thanks again

Okay. I finished installing my kit. Well my laptop doesn't have a serial port so I went to Circuit City and bought a USB serial adapter. But I can't datalog with my laptop? Is this something have to do with the wiring or the adapter?

Your laptop will set the default port to 5 or 6. You have to go into My Computer, properties, hardware and find out what port your usb is. It has to be 1-4. Then go into Zeitronix software and at the top change the settings to com 1-4, whichever is assigned to.

Do you have the ZT-2 LCD display? If you do, and it is displaying real time data, then the system is working.

You must use a 4 wire phone cable with the included splitter to get data via serial and to the display simultaneously. Beyond that, make sure the laptop actually sees the USB adapter as a COM port. Once it does, then make sure the ZT software is set to read that COM port. That's about it...

Yeah, probably that's why. But I'm still having trouble finding my usb port #. I did what you told me, but don't which to click after Hardware.

ez- Yeah, I have LCD, I'm only currently reading boost and it's reading fine.

Oh by the way, I forgot to mention. After I installed everything, I started the car and it's idling bad. The engine just want to die. The car wasn't like this before I installed the zt2. I read somewhere that it sucks the power source from ECU, so I'm thinking of relocating my zt2 power source to the cigarrete lighter?
