zt-2 and s-afcII

Ive got my safcII installed using the boomslang plug n play harness.

im guessing i still have to splice wires for the zt-2 ?

if so, can i do that with the harness?

I'm installing my ZT-2 (with EGT + Boost Sensors) and I have a question:

I wired up the harness like the post quoted below.. However, I don't know what to do with the red wire from the boost sensor.

Do I take the ZT2 yellow (#6) wire and tap it into the #81 ECU wire.. Then.. tap the red Boost wire into the ZT2 yellow (#6) wire again??? OR.. do I just tap the ZT2 Yellow (#6) wire into the Red Boost wire like it seems to say on the zeitronix instruction sheet... but then.. where is it getting power?

Thanks in advance!

Tap the red wire from boost sensor to Zt-2 yellow wire (pin #6).

Then tap the yellow wire (Zt-2 Pin 6) to ECU pin # 81.

How or rather, where did you guys route the o2 sensor wire from the DP into the cabin?

oh and did you guys run the boost line into the cabin to connect to the boost sensor?

could I just extend the boost sensors wires so I dont have to run that high pressure line into the cabin?

I can speak for our car and say, through a rubber plug on the floorboard on the passenger side I believe.

For the boost, any vac line to a boost gauge or RS, MR equipped model with the gauge package, the line runs behind the glovebox.

Without that line, you tap off the fuel pressure regulator line in the engine bay.

AznFlip, why are you recommending connecting the Zt-2 +5V supply (yellow wire) into the ECU +5V? The boost sensor should be connected to the Zt-2 +5V supply. Boost sensor red wire into the Zt-2 yellow. Do not connect the Zt-2 +5V into the ECU +5V.

Tehforbes, the Zt-2 signal harness wire colors are the same as S-AFC. It's very easy to install the Zt-2 if you already have the S-AFC (or the S-AFC if you already have the Zt-2 installed)

im hooking up a harness with zt2 and safc, the zt2 needs the black wire on power ground, the safc has 2 connections to the pin on the ecu already, black and brown (distance is supposed to matter on this connection) where should I solder the black wire from zt2?

zt2 black to safc black
or
zt2 black to safc brown

My install wasn't working because I had connected the yellow wire to the ecu, the unit now turns on.

Black Zt-2 to Black AFC assuming black AFC wire is connect into the ECU ground.

You probably shorted the Zt-2 +5V rail by connecting the yellow wire to the ECU. Glad we have the overcurrent protection on the Zt-2 +5V supply to keep it from damage when wires are tapped into wrong location.

I haven't been able to get my safc to read throttle position or engine rpms, the zt2 unit seems to be working just fine though, have egt/boost or the zt2 aswell

what can I check to find out what the problem is?

I've already gone over the wiring 4 times, everything seems to be connected correctly, used RREs diagrams, evotuners, and this forums diagrams, everything on the wiring seems correct to me

Posted at the end of evotuners...

**Wiring Update!!**
RPM (green wire) needs to be spliced into pin 58, not 88.

Did this and rmp is working fine.

I did as a newbie have afc set to record max rpm reading so each time I turned off my car I would get a reading but seemed to "stick".
In display setting, moving the afc joystick to the left fixed my problem.
