Best cam gear settings for 272's at the strip?
I was just wondering what you guys are running your cam gears at. And laugh if you want, but if your standing at the passenger fender the intake cam is on the left and the exhaust on the right. And if you turn the cam gears to the right that would be advancing them?
Right now mine are turned 3 to the right, and 1 to the right of straight up. So would that be +3,+1?
Most I have read about cam gears and 272's is to run them at -4,-1 or -3,-3. So if Im at +3,+1 that would mean more bottom end and less top end right?
So im hoping that changing these settings will get my mph up some. Im headed to the track this friday and would like to try some different settings. So will changing the cam timing affect your afr's?
thanks
