I would be fine with a ruff idle for more power and torque. As long as it doesn't stall I really don't care.

I am a little hesitant with revolver cams. There are a few threads lurking around with bad experiences. At least HKS I haven't found a bad experience. They are also most common and reliable.

Cams are only as good as the install and tune, and because some people are making big power and torque on these cams, that tells me that the problems weren't with the cams themselves. I just want to make sure that I find someone who has installed revolvers with success before to install mine.

There are a number of cars running Revolvers. Success requires definition. Timzcat certainly has had success. My car has a WR turbo and I must confess it is not a night and day change* from the previous cams, but I am not going back either. Wish I could have got a dyno before and after but that would have hardly gone over with my two slave masters.

* when a car is fast making it faster keeps getting harder to do.

What do you have your cams set to (assuming you have cam gears)?

Any more news/testing on these? Also, would the Revolver cams work with Supertech springs and retainers, or is the Revolver valvetrain recommended?

I've sold a few more sets, but the customers have not installed them due to the holidays... I had them for a damn good deal (to low to post) a full set for the holiday. I'm not sure about your springs retainers.

I have not tested the Supertech springs to see if they meet our specs, I have used Supertech valves and lashcaps before and they are very nicely made. I'll see if I can obtain a set to test and post the results (spring/retainer data)

I just ordered revolvers, fidanza cam gears, and a greddy timing belt last night, and I will order a IX 20g within the next couple weeks. I went with them because the seem to make a lot of torque and power which I like, hopefully I made the right decision. I am going fo a road racing setup, and I am not interrested in drag racing. I'll post once I have them installed and tuned.
