Question EVO IX bov questions...

does anyone know if the evo 9 has a problem like the 8's did with the stall issue when using aftermarket bov vta ? .... i had an 03 8 and i had that problem the whole time.... i'd love for there not to be a problem with the ix... any answers would be great...thanks guys

I believe they are similar to the evo8 05 where they can have vta but why would you want to waste your money on a mod like that. You could spend it elsewhere and get great benefits.

It might not be as bad as on the 03/04s, but it already comes with an upgraded RECIRCULATING BOV (JDM MR DV), so why would you be more concerned with installing something extra just for sound rather than being more concerned about holding boost properly? The IX has a great BOV and should not be upgraded unless the turbo is upgraded.

i totally agree with the why upgrade, but there is nothing like going thru a parking area and hittin a group of chics with BOV and seeing the panties fall... im kidding, i just like the sound, its a head turner...but i do understand the bov is functionally great

I prefer to "turn heads" when my times light up on the scoreboard.

i use to do that... i had an 03 that i got to run a 12.4 ... but mitsu didnt like that so much and didnt want to fix anything on it, so i got rid of it, and picked up the 9 a year later... or not even actually about 8 months...... racing is fun, hell of a rush, hurts the pockets in the end though, this car will be a little different, minor modifications... like to keep my warranty past the 4000 mile mark like i didnt do on the last one
