mount

How does this mount compare to say a engine dampner. I have a dampner now and it helps alot but im getting some rattling noise from it under slight acceleration. Im thinking of swapping the mount out and then maybe dropping the engine dampner

This is our recommendation. Many of the mini-shock dampners end up breaking whereas the motor mount will not.

Mounts are always going to be better than dampers.

What's interesting is that over time the front mount becomes oblong... the metal actually bends!

Just paypalled for 2 of the mounts. For a friend and myself.

Looks to be a good product for the price. Even cheaper than those dampers. Hopefully it won't cause too much more vibration in the cabin like those Group-N motor mounts.

btw.. TTP Engineering your pm box is full.

An engine dampner is basically just a band aid to the real problem, replacing the mounts is the way to go. If these were available I might have picked them over the ralliart mounts.

One question though, how will will the poly hold up over time vs the ralliart mounts?

How's the install? Do you have the hoist the engine somehow? I'd imagine taking the mount off, something will fall down?? I'm clueless though.

nothing will fall if u take that cross member off, but something should be there to support under the tranny. i havent installed one yet but cant imagine that install could be difficult at all.

What size socket or die did you use to press out the stock mount?

I'd also like to know what tools you can improvise from a home garage to press that rubber out of the stock mount.
