Any other multi switching systems for air/fuel failsafe?
Ok heres my idea, Have a inline boost controler that when activated by a 12volt source it will drop the boost instantly to wg setting (11psi). To controll this i would like to use a wideband.
Ok The LM widebands have an analog output that can be read by things like a greddy e-01 or greddy mulit switching system. Using one of these you can have them supply the 12volt power should the air/fuel start to go to lean thus killing the boost down to the low setting. I had a LM300, and greedy e-01 on my silvia with sr20 and it worked flawlessly. No matter how lean you tuned it the second it hit the desired a/f setting the e-01 would kill the boost. The e-01 can read any analog input and you just set the conversion for it based on a/f. Very easy to do. So heres the setup I can do.
LM300 wide band ($275) and e-01 ($500) =$700-800
or
Greddy mulit switch ($210), LM300 ($275) and GM boost sell = about $550
So is there a device that can do all this in one and save some cost?
I plan to run a meth kit and i want the best fail safe i can get should something happen. I know this system works as i have tried it 100's on times on my nissan. I would set the boost to 30psi on the E-01 with SC61 turbo and set the boost drop setting to 11.5 on the input from the wideband. and the second it hit 11.5, bam! the boost would totally drop, instantly. I could use a know setup so that when switch sees power from know it would kill boost but that is kind of to late.
Ok if im rambling sorry. just trying to get the point across. thanks guys any help is apriciated.
