bigric09,
You ought to try the Stealth BOV by "GFB". It does both re-circ and VTA, it's fully adjustable w/out any tools for both VTA and opening tension. You can easily adjust it from silent(re-circ) or VTA just by rotating the middle housing. I set mine to 3/4 VTA and have had no problems at all. It also allows you to adjust the tension of opening the valve itself by rotating the top cap which has "tic" marks that click with each adjustment. Another nice thing is that it allows you to rotate the top with the nipple for the vacuum line,360'. I picked mine up used in excellent condition for a very good price, as my stock BOV was leaking.

thanks for the info... here is what i have heard so far and maybe you guys can shed some light. i had an 03 evo, ofcourse installed a bov vta and had the stalling issues... its sucked because i didnt have a safcII or anything... i didnt want that issue in my 06 so i went with the aps because there is no issues because its mostly recirc. however its quieter then what i'd like. someone also posted on the site that the ix wont have the stalling issues the 8 had because of the way the ecu is setup with having a maf sensor and map and not just the maf. i dont know how true this is, noone else ever wanted to answer...so maybe one of you will... thanks alot again sgt blamo for the reply... just next time stand at parade rest lol... j/k

i dont think mine has ever fluttered, i noticed when i had my ssqv on my viii it would flutter under extreme low boost..... maybe your aps is defective ? or you have a leak where the clamps are

my greddy type s flutters a little under low boost ...however, it holds boost great and sounds nasty under high boost... women love the sound
highly recommend the type S, also the APS unit is solid ...SSQV is a good unit too...holds boost great and sounds loud and mean as hell... when venting ot air with the HKS SSQv some have complained it's too loud...louder the better in my books
