How does a lightened flywheel feel?

All:

So I'm going with a lightened flywheel with my clutch install and I was told that it could be a bear in traffic since I have to rev the car more in order to move forward. Is this something that's going to be a nusaince or will I get used to it rather quickly?

When I had my talon, I installed a lightweight Fidanza flywheel with an ACT 2600 clutch and really didnt notice any difference in feel over the stock flywheel with ACT clutch. When holding them both side by side, there was a huge difference in weight so I am sure it was helping a lot but I really didnt notice it when driving.

Unless you are getting a touchy race clutch, it will only take a couple blocks to get used to it. You my stall once or twice (worst case).

I had a l/w flywheel with the stage 3 SPEC clutch and hated the car on the street. With the wrong mix of clutch, its going to be a PITA. THe SPEC clutch was a sprung 6-puck. Which probably isnt all that bad, but with the l/w fly - it was pretty unbearable.

Now on the track - it was amazing!

exedy twin ... and rpms have to be raised a little more than stock...you get used to it after a week...funny watching people try and drive your car slow in a parking lot to feel the clutch...from stalling to high rpm revs just to move...embarrassing for them.

anyways...dont' go too light if it's your daily driver

As for my clutch/flywheel set up I have gone with the ACT MB7-XTSS clutch and will use it with the stock flywheel.
