someone needs to chime in and let us know if the new outlet pipe works with the stock lowe i/c pipe. im still running the stock i/c and piping so b4 i put mine in it would be helpfull to know.

Someone here should be able to confirm this at this point in time, any help?

I forgot about the wastegate actuator. Crap. The actuator is not included in this. I can make a package kit out of it and supply an actuator with it. I will have to look into the cost.

I believe it is just worded a little funny. The $750 isn't for a compressor cover upgrade. It is the entire new evo9 turbo with the 20g in exchange for the evo8 turbo with the 20g (for those that already upgraded their current VIII turbo). I could be wrong.

So for those of us with a 9.8 exhaust housing, the price to upgrade is:

$950 20G-9 upgrade
$250 10.5 Hotside
$175 Install Kit
$1375 Total

To buy the 20G-9 and install it, the price is:

$1350 20G-9 Turbo
$175 Install Kit
$1525 Total

So for those of us with 03s and 04s we're probably better off buying the turbo outright. Just want to make sure those numbers are correct.

Thanks,
Paul

Here is the deal on the actuator. You do need an EVO9 actuator BUT that is not a problem and no extra charge. I do need your good EVO8 actuator when you send in your core, we can modify the actuator to work with the EVO9 turbo.

I believe that is what these prices are. He has not indicated any type of core exchange, but rather indicates that you send in your turbo and it gets modified and sent back.

He,also, states that there is a two week turn-around on turbo upgrades. Just wanted some clarification as to wether I can have MY core upgraded and sent to me.

No problems running alcohol, the turbo doesn't care what you run through it.

$950 to convert your EVO8 to a EVO9 yes. The 10.5 housing is $250, correct. Seems like you just repeated what I wrote

The turbo gets rebuilt. No you do not get your turbo back.

The turbine housing is NOT included with this. You will be using whatever you have for a turbine housing now or you will have to buy a new 10.5 housing.

My car is at 388 whp and 393 ft lbs on race gas with this turbo on our dyno.

Could you clarify why us "little" turbo guys would benefit from buying the turbo outright instead of sending ours in?

What about the WGA? I didnt see it on your budget

Thanks,
Josh

Well, we would be without a turbo for ~2 weeks, so that would mean no evo for 2 weeks. Additionally, we would only be saving $150 by getting the turbo converted. Personally, I'd rather hold on to my stock turbo for $150 to have as a backup in case the new turbo dies at some point and also to keep my car drivable for those 2 weeks that my turbo would be converted. If you would be willing to be without your evo for two weeks and lose your stock turbo for $150, then you should do the upgrade, but it's not really worth it to me.

And, as far as the WGA, it is included with the Evo9-20G and DB said he could modify the Evo 8 WGA to work with the turbo without extra charge.
