I assume when you say midpipe you mean cat delete. Well, there is a $5-10 mechanical fix that you can buy from Gruppe-S. No CEL for a year with it. Cant beat it for under 10!

Out of curiousity, what kind of midpipe/test pipe did you install?

Just a quick side question here:

Do these O2 sim/anti fouler fix devices actually eliminate the O2 sensor read signal alltogether or do they just fake the signal within the normal range of catalyzed exhaust in conjunction with the O2?

Basically, with like the O2 sim (perrin) spliced in, will my car run the same with the O2 sensor totally removed (but still pluged in to the harness)?

The mechanical fixes just make it so the 02 sensor sits out of the path of the exhaust so it makes it seem like the cat is working. Therefore, no CEL. The Perrin is just electronically deleting it basically.

Why anyone would pay $80 to splice wires instead of simply paying $10 and not having to touch wires is beyond me.

Yeah, I spent $129 for a delete pipe/O2 sim, oh well.

So you are saying that if I were to unsrew the O2 senor out the bung with the O2 sim spliced in the car wont know the difference?

I would assume it wouldnt know the difference because you do have a cat delete and that causes the 02 to signal the ECU theres a problem and its not... All I know is that the $10 fix works flawlessly and its besides jacking up the car, it takes under 5 minutes!
