Question Help me choose setup!!

im looking to get 400+ whp daily driven. i want it to be close to stock as possible.

So far this is what i have installed:
Greddy evo2 catback
buschur air filter
mr dv
forge unos mbc
ultimate racing test pipe

waiting to be installed
ARP head studs
walbro fuel pump

im looking at 2 different setups

#1
HKS Vpro
hks 272s
hks dli 2
works 3" dp
works 3" o2
full race manifold
Buschur fmic
hks ssqv
forge wastegate
might consider the buschur 20g-9 upgrade

#2
hks vpro
hks dli2
full race kit http://www.full-race.com/catalog/pro...roducts_id=739
buschur injectors

i dont know which to pick because, setup #1 has some good gains and close to stock setup. setup #2 more power but i read that the dumptube will be loud!

help me!!!
Thanks guys

first suggestion is drop the VPro and go with an AEM or even just a flash. If you have to ask this message board which way to go, I doubt the VPro is right for you. You'd be pretty much on your own if you went that route, even so with the AEM.

well, the support base for the VPro is not as "deep" as the support base for the AEM. If you run into trouble, or want to compare notes with another EVO owner, your choices will be very limited when chosing the VPro, compared to the AEM or a flash.

I guess my point was..... asking this question on a public forum like this one (the forum does have some very knowledgeable members, but more "newbies" who spout misinformation just to get there post count up), and it gives the appearance that you don't already know the pros and cons of each system. If this is the case, you'd be better off with a system you can get a lot of support for just in case you run into problems. Tuning a car is no simple matter, regardless of what the sales literature says. If you want to tune (like you said) to maximize hp, it's a very dynamic thing, and ever changing, especially if you want to run on the edge of the octane, weather, venue, car condition etc. that you have. If you don't want to run on the edge, i.e. leave it alone (like you said), a simple flash that leaves some hp on the table but gives you a margin of safety is the way to go.

The VPro may be for you, I don't know, but asking the question about what setup to run lends one to think you'll need help with tuning, which you won't find much of with the VPro. Best of luck in your choice.

(added): a dump tube is only loud when you want it to be. I wouldn't use that as a negative when debating your choices.

I think too many people want everything but are not willing to sacrifice anything either. 400+ all day everyday and keeping it close to stock doesnt work. The stock turbo will not push 400 on pump (At least reliably). You will most likely need a clutch as well. An external dump isnt actually that loud compared to internally gating it. It sounds more like a loud blowing noise more than exhaust.

Here is a crappy sound clip of an external dump on mine: "http://www.thedrunken.com/upload/bye audi.wmv"
