it must have changed in the last 2 weeks since i got mine cause mine is really close to the rear sway bar and the movement of the exhaust allows it to hit sometimes. this is where mine sits in relation to the rear sway bar, you can see the spot of dirt where they contact.
i've tried kartboy hangers which made things worse because it pulled the exhaust up more because they don't have the same natural flex that the rubber ones do. but that natural flex is what prevents it from resting against the sway bar. i think i'm going to use 1 kartboy hanger (the triangle one closest to the sway bar) so it doesn't move toward the driver's side at all, but i'll need to dremel the hanger to pull it away from the sway bar a little bit. it's either going to be that or go to an exhaust shop to have them remake the hanger on the exhaust to be like 1/2" longer, which would also solve the problem
another area that it's real close:
but that is to be expected putting a 3" pipe in that small area. it does not quite hit on me but is super close and luckily does not move at all. i'm still thinking of wrapping it just to keep some of the heat away from the oil
and this gives you a good idea of where the muffler sits, ignore the crazy looking guy

Couple of things...
Be aware that the HKS Carbon/Ti muffler doesn't seem to be a full 3" muffler. It failed the Al coke can test. This is no fault of Ryan's, it is what it is.
You will probably need to bend that hanger. Mine rubbed slighly in the rear initially, but was corrected easily.
If you get Ryan to put 2 resonators on your exhaust (like I did) it will make things significantly heavier. I would recommend the Kartboy hangers as they're stiffer and won't droop like the stockers did.
My only "complaint" with the system (and complaint is a strong word) is that the slip fit is backwards. Instead of the midpipe slipping into the rear section, the rear slips into the midpipe.
The question for me is how much of a difference in power does the HKS muffler cause? Someday, I am going to slap a full 3" catback on and see what the actual difference is. I give Ryan's system 2 thumbs up for the Carbon/ti bling.
