BPR8HIX plugs?
Anyone ever heard of these? I would like to change my spark plugs, as I have not changed them... ever, and I've had my car for almost 3 years. My car is lightly modded and probably has about 350hp. I've got a turbo back, high flow cat, cam gears, and a piggyback. I was thinking of getting BPR8 plugs. I think the HIX stand for iridium. Does anyone know anything about these? Thanks.

It's not that they're frowned on, it's just "WE'RE CHEAP"!!
I always run the copper core plugs, just have to change them more often.

I run iridiums in all my stuff, I've found they do better against mis-fires as well, at least in my SR20DET they did better.
I think you need heat range 7 though, and HIX stand for iridium and you should be able to find them for about $40 a set.

Also, heat range 7 is how they come stock correct? For my particular setup, is the 7 range still ok, or should I go to 8?
Thanks for the info guys.

Stick with the 7 heat range.

Ok, sounds like the majority would go with the BPR7ES. I was hoping that the iridiums would be the same as the coppers, so I could do less maint, but I guess it's worth it. Thanks everyone for the help.

stick with heat range 7 for your application. "We" don't chose copper because "we're" cheap, "we" chose copper because they are the best conducting plugs, period!
Iridium will last longer no doubt, but copper will produce a better spark and more power.
