When you talk about the Nisei FMIC are you talking about the street core or their new Competition FMIC? Their Competition FMIC is suppose to have very little pressure drop and keep the outlet temps down. Even better than the original street version FMIC for a stock turbocharger.

They posted about their new Competition series FMIC which was suppose to start shipping out yesterday. You can read about it yourself.

On my stock 05 Turbo, I gained nothing from my Buschur Race FMIC......

I lost nothing either.....

what I actually did gain is that on a hot humid day, my car pulls strong just like on a cold winter day.....whereas a stock EVO FMIC will be all heat soaked... but with a bigger turbo...the gains I'm sure will be there

he speaks of the street core. but as it stands i'd like to see how he quantified the loss in spool and stuff.

the long story to your short question is that you will get hp gains. with a bigger ic you may lose spool. and the question you must ask yourself is, how much do i value cooling?

a vspec greddy is great for spool up. but it sucks for cooling. so what do you want more? with cooling their is hp to be found, tuned etc, not to mention safety margin. with a well desgned core there is little spool to be lost.

Our Race FMIC is what everyone here at the shop that owns a Evo uses. At one time there were 5 Evo's that belonged to employee's here running the race FMIC with the stock turbo. The gain picked up by running this with the stock turbo was right around 20whp. You will definately be able to see the difference in coolant temps.

As someone mentioned our deluxe is nice also and it comes with the lower IC pipe where the race does not. Also keep in mind that when using our race FMIC it does not come with the lower IC pipe but it can be purchased seperately and you will need to either cut or remove the front crash bar.

Here is a picture of the race on my car without the front bumper.

We also have our FMIC's on sale right now.

I am running the Injen FMIC with lower pipe and it works great.

384whp on stock turbo and alky....that works fine enough for me!

Doesn't the Greddy V-SPL intercoolers comes with the lower intercooler piping?

BR Race, Defiante no matter what Boost level your looking at. IM thinking either that or the TUrbo xs FMIC. And if not that the BR Deluxe is a nice piece as well. Go with that you know works. All the above mentioned have gone through all sorts of test by other members already. one Great thing about this forums is that They Always Do TOnnsss of research. So dont let it go to waste.
