glad you like your turbo! I may be wrong but at 32 psi you should be well over 500whp?

I agree, 471whp @32psi seems like a very low number... Maybe a mustang dyno?

I am hoping for 500whp @ 27psi

Well like he said he is very rich at high 10 A?F ratios. He is also at 500WHP Dyno Jet power so who knows, good deal. With alky and Race gas he could go 12.0-1 and run 35PSI and get damn near 600WHP.

The Greddy Type S is not a very loud BOV, It is however:
1. One of the few "adjustable while on the car" BOV's
2. NEVER Causes stalling problems at moderately increased boost levels with the single spring mod (which a lot of guys forget to do)
3. Has a long favorable history with DSM-ers
4. Has an equally unfavorable history with ricers
5. Used and recommended by guys that actually go fast, as opposed to try to sound fast.

I believe that Evomoto had a chart that described how and when to use the various springs supplied with the BOV.

Congrats on the turbo, now I want one, shame on you for tempting me :-)

I seriously doubt that your BOV, properly adjusted, will be a problem.

Is that all you are using for a tune is a flash, I would expect much more power from that setup at 32psi and meth. I understand you say conservative but still.

Good numbers , may I ask which a/r ratio the exhaust housing is - my guess is 0.82 a/r ?

Cheers Adrian .

Congrats on the new setup man!!! thats awesome, I remember when I had the vishnu stage 3 installed on my 03, man that was freeway ride down the 5 fun as hell!!!!!!

But please before you tell everyone on these boards how streetable the turbo is give yourself some more time to drive it around the "streets" and then maybe give a one month update.

I had the 30r and made just about the same exact post you did the night I got it.

One month later I sold the kit.

Real world Socal traffic and a 35r are going to **** u off, badly. But if you dont mind the lag and prefer highways over canyons......Turn on the METH!!!!!!!!!!

Good Luck and I hope you enjoy your upgrade more then I did!

Quick

Nice, was yours the red evo that was at CFT a few weeks ago? I was bringing in my blue evo there and I saw a gt35r turbo kit assembled, I think it was an AMS one though. Anyhow congrats on your setup

Car was tuned conservatively. Perhaps too conservatively in most eyes. We all know what the 35r is capable of. The tune on the car is temporary. The internals are stock and Bradly was advised not to push the car past 450whp. Car will be getting forged internals and AEM. Then we can lean on it a good bit harder. Also keep in mind this is on the stock mass with no cold air intake. The turbo spool is very good on a 2.0 for a turbo this size. On install a/f in the 9s. 4th gear pulled 14psi at 3600rpm on the stock cams. The 280s added 500rpm lag. Although I would agree that a 35r is laggy turbo for daily use you have to drive it to determine whats for you. The car is very crisp and pleasant till 4500rpm. After that its a rocket. It is a blast to drive.

Here's a hypothetical question:

If you only had $2500 to spend on this car, would you be better off building the motor (in-car rod/piston swap) and then turning up with the wick with a flash (how far could you go?)? Or, would you be better off spending that $2500 on AEM EMS and tuning?

You heard wrong. I have had one on my car for 2 years and never had a problem. It does whistle a little but that is about it. It performed as good or better then anything else I could find at the time. All of my testing was done at the dragstrip to verify the power it and the others were making.

When I worked at SFP in Miami we took an stock bottom end evo (04) and race ported the head and did cams. Put on our 35R kit and it made 561wHP on VP C16 and has been living fine ever since. The car is in The Dominic Republic. A true test to what great tuning can do for you. Oh, it had aquamist on it too.
