2 runs. Three different perspectives. Guess what happened on run #51 (blue run)

Fuel pump quit, injector failed, or ran out of gas.

You are testing the new feature of xede, lean condition or defined varible= shutdown 10psi of boost. Bet 1$ on $1,000...!

I guess looking back at the static wastegate pressure the whole testing of the lean -> boost cut feature makes sense

i dunno, and it's really not my business, but why in the hell would the guy runnin the show, stay on it for another 1500 rpms, when obviously something is wrong?

that defeats the common sense factor

edit: i mean, i realize you guys are out to prove a point, but still.

That must be your new lean-run protection system on your Xede. What did you do to make it go lean? Did you just pull a bunch of fuel at around 4400rpm to see if it would work?

Definitely, the lean run protect. That seemed to work pretty quickly.

Meth kit ran out of meth and the new lean-run protect kicked in on the XEDE.

Awww... what you said is true. And you will the easter candy. Jut PM me your address and well send it to you.

However, what you are seeing is a little bit more than just a drop in boost. The info provided by the graphs is enough to tell what else happened.

As for how the leanrun was induced, that's simple. I just had someone yank off the boost line that goes to the fuel pressure regulator in the middle of a dyno pull . This resulted in an immediate 20psi drop in fuel pressure. In any other situation, that would have caused engine failure. How's that for being confident in a product?
