I have an 03' evo and I wanted to know if this is possible and what other things do you need to make this happen?

Yes you can, you need the tranny, shifter assembly, cables, and associated hardware. Your 03 TC will work with the 6 speed.

Are you positive? Can I have the "ACD" installed as well or is that not an option?

Apparently, TRE knows how to do it. Why not contact them?

I don't think you can add the ACD, though - it will have to use your existing center diff.

In order to install the MR 6 speed, you would need:

6 speed gearbox
6 speed shifter
6 speed cables
Right side transmission mount
MR center console (the 5 speed console interferes with shifting into reverse)
MR shift boot
MR shift knob

This setup will bolt up to your 03 transfer case, but now would be a great time to upgrade to a Quaife front diff. In my opinion, the cost of upgrading to ACD is not worth it for the added bling of switching between tarmac, gravel and snow.

The ratios are a LOT nicer than the 5 speed in the higher gears.

What if you wanted to swap a 6 spd into an '06 Evo IX? I have the ACD already - is it still just swapping out the tranny and shifter cables, etc.?
