Just a follow-up on this because a couple people were asking me. I brought my car to the dealer and they looked at me like I was crazy. A mechanic took the car for a drive and told me everything sounded normal. Later I brought the car to a shop that specializes in custimizing import cars... the guy was very familiar with EVO's and 4g63 and said that Mitsubishi makes the oil inlets to tight. Basically he said when the oil is not warmed up enough it doesn't flow very well and you can hear valves clicking. After a while the oil warms up and flows much easier... and the sounds go away.
This seems to makes sense because the noise went away when the car warmed up. And now that the weather is warmer, I don't hear those noises anymore. In the winter I just make sure the car is nice and warm before I start driving anyways. I guess it turns out that I'm just super-sensitive to noises for some reason.

I knew it was just the 4g63 lifter tick, all of you should know that. Disgusting...
I'm glad your cars alright .
Hey guys, just an FYI, the power loss he is talking about before the car is warmed up is completely normal, you all go out and try a WOT pull right after you turn on your car; there is definatly a power loss.
