The 02 isnt the problem for a P0171. Its the MAF.
1. Dirty MAF from air filter oil. Spray it out with CRC MAF Cleaner
2. Non-OEM injectors. Reflash for proper injectors
3. Non-OEM Intake, mostly occurs with K&N for some reason. Reflash MAF scaling.

Okay,
First I got P2195, then cleared the CEL. Drove around then CEL appears again, this time its P0171 and P2195. Rechecked the stock air box and Cleared again the CEL.
Drove around until CEL came on, now its P0134 and P2195.
I didn't get the P0171 this time.
I'm hoping that an 02 sensor replacement will resolve this.
Anyone know if the O2 sensor (front) from an 03-05 Evo is compatible with an 06 Evo IX?

UPDATE:
Previously, I was getting the following codes:
P0134
P0171
P2195
After installing a new OEM o2 front sensor (***** Uninstall/Install ),
drove for about 26 miles and no error codes. So far so good.
Car feels the way it should, not the bogged down feeling due to running super rich.
BTW. I verified that 05 Evo front O2 sensor is different from an 06 Evo front O2 sensor. Different part numbers.

THe p0134 comes on first, o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 No Activity detected, then if you continue to drive it you will throw the p0171= system too lean, just a byproduct of the 1st code as how would your ecu detect a lean condition if your o2 sensor has no activity?
The ecu see's a 0.00 voltage for an extended period of driving it will automaticly set the p0171 as it "thinks" your system is running very lean with a 0.00 volt feedback.
Get yourself a new front o2 sensor, clear Code and you will be all set.........
