HKS cam question

Hey guys i have been reading alot on here and cant figure out which cams would be right for me. RIght now my mods are

Turboxs TBE
Injen intake with UICP
Greddy BOV

Now my mods to come in the future are

Hallman or forge MBC (need opinions on this too)
Walbro fuel pump
hks cams
Cam gears
Turbotrix reflash

Now my question is which HKS cams do i need 264/264 or 264/272 or 272/272? I will not be upgrading stock turbo for awhile if i do. But shich ones should i do and which ones will i see the most gains. I see that alot of people run 264/272s and are happy with them but just tyring to figure out which ones would be right for me!!!

it all depends on what you want to do with the car, ie: drag, autox, road race, street monster, etc.....

I'm still a newbie and learning but this thread I thought was VERY helpful when I asked myself the same thing you did. I haven't done cams yet though...

There is little to no difference between the 264 and 272's, IMO. They will both make the same amount of power as the lift is exactly the same. You can't go wrong either way, but you should buy my 272's.

there is a reason that the 264 and 272 are different. the lift is both the same, but the duration that the valves stay open for is different. the 272 has more mid-high range in rpm vs the 264 that has more low end but does not produce as much high end power as the 272

Yes, you are concerned about nothing here. The 272's are a little more lopey at idle, and provide minimal gains over 264's with your mods and the stock turbo.

Don't worry about such marginal things....just buy a set and have fun.

Don't waste your money on HKS. Get Buddy Club, they are the same spec, great quality, but lower price. Get the 272's. I love the top end power they put out. Check them out here: http://www.hopupracing.com/buclspiiicam.html
