yet another turbo recomendation needed
hey guys, the turbo on my tme 6.5 is suffering slight problems, and i thought it would be a chance for me to upgrade
i was thinking of getting the rs tme turbo but they seem a bit overpriced for what they are.
the car is going to be trackwork, and street driven, so response is important.
can someone recomend me a turbo or turbo kit that will not be so laggy and will be good for my needs?
thanks

thanks for the reply, white rabbit does seem to be pretty good, same response as stock but a bit more top end.
there's a few for sale on here used, but i was just wondering, are these bolt on to the tme? ive been told the tme uses twin flapper where as the mr whitwe rabbit uses single flapper, does this mean my turbo wont bolt on? do i need supporting mods for this turbo?
- will it need any modification to fit to a tme 6.5?
- besides a fuel pump, can my stock fuel system eg- injectors, handle this turbo?
- can the stock pistons handle this?
- will it bolt on to all my stock parts?: intercooler piping, intake etc
thanks

The WR is a bolt-on. The twin-flapper is the old design of the wastegate, but now the newer design has a single-flapper WG within the 10.5 hotside. It should be a direct replacement for your TME.
I can't say for certain, since you have a Evo 6.5 TME, but I really think it should fit without any modification. I don't think there is anyone in the world like you who has installed a WR onto their 6.5 TME, but it should be the same as your current turbo. Unfortunately, I just don't know enough about the nuances of the TME to know if there is anything that's different.
Your stock fuel system should handle it fine - it won't be much more powerful. Just be sure to have a fuel pump, but also keep track of your injector duty cycle if you can.
Stock pistons can certainly handle it.
It should bolt on just like your current turbo.
