Throttle seems to Stick..

Did a search.. Couldn't find something resembling my observation..

When accelerating in boost in the upper RPMS (4k and up) and then letting off throttle, the engine is very resistant to revving down (making braking more difficult). Much more so than without boosting. The same effect can be achieved when revving the engine in neutral. It almost seems like the throttle is not fully disengaging. Basically.. the engine is taking a seemingly abnormal amount of time to rev down after boosting.

I did not notice this on my 03 evo. Anyone else see this on their car?

That "feature" was new to the 05s and continued onto the 06s.

Ya, that feature comes standard now! Mitsubishi is always trying to figure out what options we will like most.

My car does that once in a while.

Its to help those who drive hard and dont keep the rpms up when downshifting. More to save the clutch than anything.

Is there any way to disable this wonderful feature?

It would have to be taken out of the ecu maps. Perhaps a vendor that does flashes will be able to eventuallly.

OK well I hope that's not part of the closed loop system.

I could be talking out of my a$$ on the the flash part. But from what I have heard that would be the only way. Since it only activates under high load it is not part of the closed loop system. Being a programmer the fastest way to turn this "feature" off would be to find where the predetermined load value triggers this condition. Jack that up to 100% of maf load and you would never hit it.
