No, a mechanical fix is better. They work and you dont have to hack up any wiring

Does it have a bung in it for a wideband O2 sensor? Where did you get one from?

You will tell a performance difference with a Hi-flo cat and TP. I have both and just recently switched to my TP..I can clearly tell at high end.. not so much down low though. I also have a resonated test pipe and the sound is very throaty, but not loud.. It sounds the same when driving in traffic.

It's less environmentally friendly, but I've noticed the difference between a high flow cat and a catless test pipe before on a few turbo cars. You'll notice the noise as well as the butt dyno as well as turbo response.

Swapping them out when it comes time to pass emmissions/inspection sure is a ***** though.

Test Pipe. Only 5% of the polution in the US is caused by Car/trucks. Go nuts and burn that fuel!!!!

I just switched from no cat, to the ultimate racing high flow 3 inch cat, then back to my perrin 3 inch test pipe (emissions testing). I noticed no difference in sound what so ever. I did notice a slight increase in power though, along with exhaust soot at high rpms

I had the test pipe in my EVO VIII but I could not tell you if it made more power or not. I never dynoed before and after.... However, if you want to do that, I've got a nice 3" B&B DP with a bung welded for the WB O2 sensor and a matching TP with the CEL fix that I can sell you for a very good price . I've gone completely back to stock with my MR.........
