To GT35R or FP3065 ???? choices, decisions....

FYI, Buschur's 'off the shelf' 35R kit IS the fp3065 with Buschur's cast manifold. I have one sitting here next to me. It is a pretty sweet kit with everything polished or high temp ceramic coated. It is also a cast manifold which retains the stock heat shield - VERY helpful for us CA guys where the police are fond of pulling cars over and demanding to inspect the engine for modifications. Buschur's kit also includes the fan, Tial 44mm and a bunch of other stuff.

Intersting. I think Buschur could cut costs even further by using a smaller wastegate. The 38mm or 40mm would do and is much cheaper than the 44m. Maybe he uses it because its V-band though...

we run ours on pump 94 at 25 psi, and its pretty hellacious.
Ill have dyno numbers soon....
but it slips the stage 3+ spec clutch (that we are taking out)....
and spins all four tires on a roll on in second.

the 3065 will make more top-end than the 3076 but spool a lil bit faster than the 35r....considering how a lot of tuners are saying take the 35r because the lag is almost as bad with less topend on the 3076 , the 3065 seems like a good compromise.

FP3065 is what I have on my Eclipse on a completely stock 7-bolt motor minus minus MLS gasket/ARP studs/FP2 cams...spool on a 11.1:1 a/f with stock timing map that peaks at 16degrees (pump 93octane w/680cc of meth @20psi) I got 25psi at 4200rpms.
The FP3065 is a Garett CHRA center section with a GT40 intake wheel and GT30 exhaust wheel mated to a Mitsu manifold, (no need for an aftermarket exhaust manifold -nice when money's an issue and a ported 2G manifold flows pretty damn well), and utilizes a .63 a/r hot side.
The "GT35R" is very similar except it uses a GT40 intake wheel and a GT35 exhaust wheel with a .83/1.01 a/r on the hot side.
The GT35R with a T4 exhaust side, (the only GT35R I'd recommend as the T3 exhaust side is worthless as it restricts flow at high boost/rpm), definately lags a lot more than the "smaller" counterpart -FP3065. Although it lags a bit more, because of the larger flowing exhaust housing and a/r flows a lot more hp at high rpms.
So it depends if you want a hwy/track car vs. a more "streetable" setup. Both make great power, (though both rated at 60lbs./min = ~600fly hp, the 3065 seems to taper off at around 550whp as the straight Garett GT35r T4 seems to make closer to 600-630whp.
Hope that helps...and FYI neither turbo starts to make NOTICEABLE power till you push upwards of 22-25psi.

I dont know your supporting mods so I wont make assumptions but I think I could make 397whp with my setup right now with just adding alcohol/meth.
Your numbers should go up sigfinicantly with the meth.

Thanks for all the responses guys....
I just wanna say that I mainly drive the car on the street....
what I'm currently doing is 93 + methanol all the time. I'd like to have at least 420-430 TQ in the low-mid range and whatever power I can make safely on the stock bottom end up top.....
Even with my set-up I'm satisfied with the power i have for driving around town OFF boost...
but when it hits boost I want it to pull like crazy and beat everyone that I can on the highway...
It also would be nice to have a turbo that responds well for road racing .....but mainly I likie to have my fun on the highway.

Yeah I'd have to agree on the T3 flanged gt35r being the wrong way to go. If anything, I would only get a t3 inlet gt35r, and if I wanted to go to a t4 inlet I would go to a bigger turbo....
