The 38mm flange wouldn't work very well due to the space constraint that close to the downpipe. You may be able to custom order it with a 40mm option (FP welded a 40mm flange on my old FP3575 for me), but the 40mm is just barely cheaper than the 44mm.

As for the T3 housings being worthless, the actual GT 3" discharge 4 bolt housings work just fine.

Ok whats the story. Does Buschur use a 44m or 38. Someone in this thread said 44m, however, it says on his website with a picture of the 38mm.

FP shows it with a 44, but I guess Dave could have them built to his specs with a 38.

Ok. Now that its official, what space constraint are you talking about with BR's kit that wouldnt allow a smaller wastegate?

This statement is incorrect. Our GT35R kit is a GT35R kit. Both kits come with the same parts but the 3065 and the 35R ARE 2 different turbo's. The compressor housing of the 3065 is from a 35R and the turbine wheel is from a 3076.

(Quoted Robert from FP) "A 35R will not make anymore power than a 3065 until you compare power at boost above 30psi."

We did go 10.1 with our off the shelf GT35R kit. We did not have the 3065 until about 2 months ago when we ordered one in for my car.

We will probably be tuning my car on race gas soon. I finally ran the tank of 94 out so we will have to throw it on the dyno and see how it goes. Keep in mind my car is stock head, stock block, and 272 cams. The rest of my car is just our stages 1-4 and the AEM EMS. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread I will NOT be doing alcohol. On 94 octane pump gas with 23psi (nothing more) it made 342hp / 287trq. on our Mustang AWD dyno.

How does that compair to us dynojet users? What would they translate into?

Unfortunately, there is no way to accruately translate those numbers since when Buschur brought his 2 cars over to a Dynojet the percentages in number variance were both very different. His RS only made another 50whp. (410 to 460 I believe). We really wont know what it will make until he actually goes to a DynoJet

As Soon2BEvo said it will vary from car to car. We have seen percentage differences as high as 33% from our dyno to a dynojet. I am certain it would be over 400 on a dynojet tho. As I mentioned before I am not a big dyno # person. I perfer track #'s. As soon as I get the clutch changed and get it broke in I will be hitting the drag strip. The thing pulls pretty darn good on the street so I am definately curious of the #'s it will lay down.

The two bolt flange design would be extremely hard to get on the turbine housing while having clearance for the downpipe and access to the hardware.

Ok, well I saw that AMS used a 38mm, I figured to keep costs down especially if the bigger wastegate was not needed...

Cool, can you do a pump gas run then a Race gas run? Thanks

The pump gas run has already been done. That is what the car was initially tuned on. Here is the dyno graph that I linked in my first post in this thread. 3065 Dyno Chart

As for why we use a TiAL 44mm wastegate instead of a 38mm it is because we use the FP housing which uses a V-band style flange for the wastegate and the 44mm bolts right on to that.
