when does the IX turbo lose efficiency

Any ideas when the 9's turbo loses efficiency. Im thinking of having a mild port and polish done on the head instead of upgrading the turbo, any thoughts? thanks

I would think the 20g-9 will pick up where the stock 9 losses efficiency

I have found on the car which we did the stroker 2.3L on that 400 whp is the 100% max I could extract out of the stock IX turbo

That was BR stage IV with a stock intake cam

Perhaps a larger duration intake cam could have inhanced the power a bit

The IX20G should be good for more than that but I am not sure how much more

If i am not mistaken - I think the turbine side is the real restriction on these turbos - but I am no turbo expert
