MBC all they way up and only 15lbs boost

I just had the Hallman MBC put on and I kept adjusting it on the way home. Nothing ever changed even after I had it turned up all the way. What could these dummy's have done wrong?

sounds like you're running on wastegate spring tension only. It's probably in backwards. On the Hallman (or any other manual boost controller), there should be two nipples for vacuum lines. One nipple has a pressure relief port drilled into it on one of the six "flats" that are typical of any nut, nipple, bolt head etc. That special nipple with the relief port (hole) needs to be on the vacuum line that goes to the wastegate, and not the vacuum line that comes from the turbo/manifold area.

I also believe the Hallman has 2 different springs for their MBC.. Could just put the wrong one in.

You turning it the right direction? Screwed down all the way is max boost.

Probably an improper installation. The Hallman should come with a spring that runs from 11psi to high 20s. My Hallman Pro was 11psi (wastegate pressure) at minimum setting, and I never got it to max setting, but I ran my 12.0s on it with 24-25psi.

If he's seeing no change in boost with many turns of the Hallman, then it's installation, but we need more details. He told us one detail and expected us to solve the problem.

The Hallman only came with one spring, but the manual says that spring will provide up to an additional 5lbs of boost over stock. I would guess that would be 22 or 23lbs? The two hoses going into the MBC are nice and tight but without pulling everything out I can't tell if they are hooked up right. But it stays right at 14 to 15lbs no matter whether it is all the way closed or open. What should I tell them to look for when I bring it back?
Thanks

If turning the knob either way changes nothing, then it's an improper installation.
