Tanny problem

Question Tanny problem

i got a 03 evo, since i did some mod on my car, there is a tanny problem, when i shift from 4th gear to 5th gear at above 60 MPH , it will make some cracking noisy. does anyone know how to fix this problem ? thank you

grinding or cracking? i had a bad syncro and it would grind from 4th to 5th above 70. had it warrantied by the dealer

unfortunalty i doubt it will be under warranty with a modded car

5th gear syncro is bad. You could go to the dealership and raise hell, (Good luck)

You could just deal with it and always double clutch into 5th gear.

You could open the trans up and fix it yourself, me personally, i am scared of transmissions.

Or you could send it off to TRE or Shephard. They will fix you right up

Thank you for the feedback guys, ! what is TRE and Shephard? i live in washinton state and never hear of them. does anyone know any shop in seattle area can fix for me?
