Dave made the cold air intake about a year ago. He uses it in his white RS.

Good luck to the Buschur camp, that car is SICK .

Thats how more evos should be built. Way more impressive to see one set up for road racing than a quick 1/4 mile.

The car is a 2 liter, once again for the revs we want to be able to run with the car. If need be, with a larger turbo we can go to 10,000 rpm if we had to. Right now with the small turbo that is on the car we are making 378 whp and 420 ft lbs. The 420 ft lbs is at 3900 rpm. The car is a monster coming out of the corners....atleast that's what Robert was telling me all day

We did well with the car. It is un-screwed at this point from all the "self proclaimed experts" as it finished it's first ever entire day of racing. We were black flagged twice as the ATL fuel cell developed a leak around the seal at the top of the tank. No idea why as it is brand new fuel cell. We did fix the problem tonight after we got back from the track.

Robert set fast time in TTU running a 1.42:003.

We did "our" work all week long. Today was Robert's turn to work his magic with his chassis and alignment set-ups and driving.

The car got faster each time it went out. A total of 4 sessions were run on the car today. Other than the fuel cell the car worked absolutely flawlessly. What a great car to watch go around the track.

Some other tidbits of information. The car is actually very heavy. I am shocked. It weighed in today without a driver at 2850 pounds. That roll cage (BTW, Larry, nice quality work on the cage) must be extremely heavy. The roll cage is the only thing we left intact on the car after it was originally molested by some other California "self proclaimed expert".

The tune is rediculously de-tuned. I had the car making decent power as I said above at 25 psi on 110 octane. Each time in Robert asked me to back more out of the tune as it was coming into boost too fast and was hard to keep the car from spinning the big fat Hoosiers. Each time the car came in I'd check the datalog and back more out of it. At the end of the fourth session there just wasn't anything to back out. We ran the 1.42:003 at a peak boost of 23 psi. AFR's were at no point leaner than 11.3:1 at WOT. Timing is rediculously low. I am shocked the car is this fast with the oh-so-weak tune that is in it. We are currently out of C16 fuel, we will have to get some by Beaver Run in 2 weeks to be able to compete with what I think is going to be an extremely fast field of Time Attack cars.

I want to thank all the guys at our shop for working so hard all the time. Even if they didn't have their hands in the actual build they were answering phones and taking care of customers who buy our parts and make it possible to build a car like this. With that I need to thank our customers for their support who make it possible for us to build a car like this.

Also want to thank Robert Fuller for his knowledge and driving skills to make what we built look as good as it does going around a race track.

We'll be back at Mid Ohio first thing tomorrow. Stop by and say "hi" if you are around. If I am grouchy..........and that is a possibility, I am probably just busy (or just a butthole which is more likely the case

Take care, glad you guys are enjoying the new car. Not bad for 4-1/2 days of work.
