i have a stock manifold waiting for shipment to b/r. till i get enoff money im going to get the full race one. for a few reasons. as for dmp and the rest. i think they should be sent to full face for melt down so they can make something that works. as for dc sport. it is different yes and looks sweet. but we have yet to see real proff of this gain. also im not trying to fight with you here. but did you do a befor and after. meening did you dyno the car, take it apart put the parts on, then dyno again. all in the same day. cause if one day its 80 outside and the next its 60. you will see a difference. also was you tuned befor the 3 mods was you tunned after. just trying to get an idea of whats going on on your side of the topic.
I never said anything about 15-20hp gains, but I believe there is a gain. I am not going by DC's website. Turbo mag and a vendor on here did a test I believe and got 12-14hp which is reasonable. Is the stock ported manifold a more cost effective option, maybe so but like I said, Im responding to this guys request of a manifold OTHER than that one. I did not suggest any like the DNP or that one itself.

I did not dyno on the same day but the one day it was 55, the subsequent it was 57 and it was the same facility. Also when it was 57 the humidity was higher. I was tuned the previous time so that is not a factor either. I am not an idiot I know about temp/alt changes and before/after tuning. Obvioulsy that would hinder the numbers. I had xx parts on, got it tuned. Went back and installed new parts and retuned. Temps were identical, the gains are there and while I cannot give you an exact number, it definitely helped.

Also, I actually felt an increase in low rpm spool with the DC as soon as I put it on, however I thought it was my imagination. However after seeing a seprate dyno of one, it did gain low end around 2500rpm. Also my before and after dynos show 0 spool differences after 3k

Manifolds don't make any more significant power. Stock ones flow pretty well. What is this, Honda-Tech where these magical manifolds make an extra magical 30whp? Different dyno runs can yield 5whp differences that these manifolds supposedly do. Sorry, just my .02 which a few of you probably don't want to hear.

the only reason i said the other kinds is cause he asked about dnp. so i just wanted to point out the others style with dnp.

fastes spool COULD come from the o2 housing. b/r said that himself. im not saying it dident come from the manifold.

lets not make a mess of this thread. he wants to know what to do.

1st. i would get a stock manifold off evom send it to b/r for porting. for maximum power to price ratio.

2end get the dc sport manifold for its nice looks and said to be good power increase. there is no REAL proven info if it works or not but people say it works.

3rd. if money is no problem fullrace. you will get looks, plus beter gains then anything can offer.

4th bye dmp or the look a likes and do nothing but waiste your money.

do you feel this would be a good order to work from. or no.

Alright, just my opinion here. Nothing concrete.

If the OP can't afford downtime, buying a cheap manifold is going to cause nothing but downtime. It looks of similar design as those Ebay manifolds. I have no idea if the fabricating method is the same but just going off the design I'd stay away.

I dunno man, I had such a hassle with that cheap manifold. It was a pain in the *** to remove, It was embarrassing to drive around with the exhaust leak. I ended up buying a BR ported manifold from a guy in the used section for $100. I knew it wasn't going to crack like the cheap manifold, I didn't have to send my old one off and below 500whp, tubular manifolds don't do much for you. If you are going to spend a few hundred dollars, stick trusted names that fabricate Evolution-specific parts. Not companies that made low cost headers for Honda's 10 years ago. Plenty of trusted names right here on the forums.

Son of B*tch. This was 6 years ago and I just got suckered into it? Not amused.

I will contribute to the dead thread revival.

Now that ToxicFab exists, there is no reason to get any other aftermarket stock-frame manifold.

didnt read all of the post, but i would personally never buy from dnp. buddy of mine bought a supposedly bolt on manifold for his 1st gen eagle talon, and it didnt fit. we spent 4 hours grinding off a water pipe bracket to get it to fit. if it says direct fit and it isnt i will not buy anything from them.

if the op is worried about downtime why not pick up a stock manifold out of the fs section and send it off? that would be my suggestion.
