If youre running an aeromotive a1000 pump the return must be matched to the -10. Aeromotive specifically says to use a -6 return with a -10 feed. It looks like you may not have enough fuel pressure.

lol that wasnt called for...

anyway, its really good to see you have made that much progress with this car. I myself would love to see this monster hit the drag strip and see what it can do.

cheer's to RNR

Give it up Ted. This is RNR you are talking too. He doesn't understand the concept. I have heard 15% increase in fuel delivery for same size injector.

Ryan, are you sure it was at 22psi? I heard your car made this insane amount of power at only 24psi. That is still insane. At 27psi, on the same dyno which my stroker and 35r, I made 539whp. So, Ryan made 20 more whp and 3psi less.

I don't have any logged runs. I am sure it was 22psi as that is what my boost gauge was hitting on the way home.

I also have pics now of everything if I can email them to someone. I don't have the software to downsize them.

Ryan, you can e-mail me the pics and I will resize them and send them back. Let me know if you need me to host them, I can do that also. naucrx@yahoo.com

Didn't this car supposedly make 700whp+ before on the same injectors?

Was it ever really dyno'd before on these 1000's ?

1000's should support more HP than what you are making at "22" psi.

Was this 22psi via boost gauge, or via a trusted sensor source, such as AEM/Kavlico pressure sensor?

Sounds great I will send them over.

Yes, the car made over 700whp before on the same fuel set up. We were on a 40R and the duty cycle was in the high 120's.

120% duty cycle huh? thats amazing....

i guess this is where i should ask, do you know what duty cycle is? and do you need me to explain how you cannot go over 100% duty cycle?

Yeah that can not be correct. Either the boost is higher or there is a serious problem. I run 750cc injectors and they do not max out. Granted I am a 2 liter with a 35r but I dont see THAT big of a difference. On 26ish psi of boost I am still in the 85% range for duty cycle.

I have an A-1000, Fuel cell, Aeromotive pressure regulator, bigger fuel rail, 750cc injectors, -10 feed lines, -8 return lines. 26ish psi = 84-92% duty cycle. (Using the AEM EMS) AFRs are at 11.5

On another one of my cars we have a Supra pump, 850cc injectors, 30psi of boost, stock lines, stock rail, 85-90% duty cycle. (Using the DSMLink) AFRs are at 11.3

And the duty cycle can show over 100% because that is what it is attempting to do. Technically you will not be making the car any richer at that point because the injectors are static.

And on a sidenote... that 5-point cage (bar) will not make you completely legal to run 10.0's at that power level. Once you hit 135 you need to get a real cage not just a bar.

Its not that impressive, its got a bigger turbo and more displacement, to be honest I think these results are far from impressive like the bulk of RNR's turbokits performances.....

Ya, it seemed really weird at the time because we have made more power in the past. I wasn't doing the tuning and was only there for a little while. We figured it wasn't not worth our time to tune for several hours upping fuel pressure or adding an injector driver only to run out of injector in the end. In the end after probably spending all day on the dyno we would need to start all over from scratch because of adding bigger injectors. Both us and TT are very busy and it would probably just be easier to add the bigger injectors/driver as we are going to shooting for 750whp at 38psi.

Smoggy, maybe you could direct Alfred to this thread when he gets a chance to further explain about the injectors. I was getting 22psi on my boost gauge. I have no idea what the AEM sensor was reading, but I am sure Alfred knows as I think he logged a run.
