Looks like a lot of people are needing a transfer case. I was thinking maybe you guys should ask Shep if you can do some sort of a group buy or something.

YMMV, but I know a lot of the people that buy/sell hifi gear swear by BAX, and all of the somewhat expensive art pieces I've bought were shipped from the dealers by BAX. Good luck in your drivetrain endeavors.

to all the guys that have done or are going to do the transmission upgrade, is it worth doing if nothing is wrong with your trans? i have an '03 and my transmission is currently out due to a clutch install, would it be worth it for my to send it out and have it upgraded? my mods are basically all bolt ons, 2.3, 30r. right now there is nothing wrong, but wondering if it would be a good safety measure to have it upgraded?

the MR tranny weights about 144LBs or so (depending on your packaging). Remember, FedEx ground cuts off at 150LBs so don't go too wild on the packaging; otherwise, you'll have to use a freight carrier or FedEx Freight. Shipping from Phx to Shep is about $100 or so via FedEx Ground w/ insurance (UPS is a bit more)... transit time should be around 4-5 biz days. We did a couple for our customers here in Phx... YMMV depending on your location.

I think its always a nice thing to have as a safety mod. I think its all personal preference though. But if it were me with those mods i'd do it just to be safe. I know my 03 tcase just crapped out for no reason. How many miles are on your car btw?

buddy of mine XME recently sent his tcase to Shep...

UPS overnite is $180 from nyc... but im not sure if that
is freight, air or ground... but i do know for a fact, it did
arrive at Shep's door step the very next day

i think to ship the tranny overnite would be an additional
$100 bucks to account for the weight factor...

I agree, it is out and not a ton of money but well worth it if you plan on dragging it. Going to be cheaper this way then to have it crap the bed and have some serious parts fail and have it cost more to fix later.

Overnight would be nice but I am gone for the next two weeks for work so won't matter, as long as I have it by the end of the month.
