holy moly wtf ?
for the past week ive been having this problem..
-fuel cut
-running 12% more fuel than normal (checked with snap-on obd2 scanner)
-maf is reading more air than there acutally is
-ability to make 20lbs boost in neutral
it started when i swapped out a hks venting bov to stock recirc.
started the car and got cels= overboost, running to rich , intake air temp.
i checked all the vac lines and i even put the hks bov back on to see if it would help. but no luck.
anyone have any ideas to what it could be?
ps: i did take out that honeycomb about two weeks ago and never put it back in, but i didnt have a problem then. im not sure if its related.. and i do not have another honeycomb to put back in there.
a friend told me that it could be this:
when i recirc'd, the computer made adustments but now recognizes that the air isnt normal.. bc the honeycomb directs the airflow evenly to the maf sensor , hence confusing the sensor.

I got 2 words for you
GOOD LUCK
Lol get a good set of data logs and take it to your local evo tuner they would be able to point out anything out of the normal better then any of us on here.

Congrats, you'll probably need to buy another MAF. There was no good reason whatsoever to remove the diffuser (honeycomb) except to guarantee that the MAF won't work properly once you did.

Overboost----probably loose connection on the boost control solenoid.
Air temp-------could be loose connection in the Maf connector.
running rich---cause you were venting to air.
Taking out the honeycombs won't give you all these problems. I know. I ran mine /out it for a while.
Did you install any recent parts in your car ? boost controller ? Did you unplugged the MAF connector or the BCS ?
