Evo member Ted B has it in his Evo and he is not satisfied.
He made the same power with his TME.

Will got all my stuff installed today at AMSTuning.com Everything went great with the install. They did a great job as usual. Anyone thinking of buying an O2 housing should consider the Invidia cast piece. If fits like a glove, and looks great. I really haven't been able to rip and roar on the 20G-9 TME turbo yet since I'm taking the advise of the installers as to take it easy for the first 200 miles or so. Also a side note, anyone buying a 20G should definitely invest in the installation kit. It makes the install that much easier. If I'm able to drive the car tomorrow I will open it up and see if I feel any first hand butt dyno difference's. Technically I won't be able to do a side by side comparison with my set up until I get retuned and match up my current dyno print out to the new one. Once that is done I will be sure to post the results.
Stay tuned...

I can't see how the 20G-9-6TME could possibly make the same power as a normal 6.5TME. I'll wait till I hear more people chime in with their experiences. Also is it possible for someone to make a 5 blade TME? I'm sure if anyone Buschur can find a way.

Do you mean 20G-9-5 TME because I think that will be the true test against the TME.
My biggest fear about the 20G-9-5TME is that it may surge and I may add a stroker to my car down the road and surging will only get worse.

I have a 20g-5 in my car with meth and I wish I would have just saved my money and gone a little larger. Just stay with the stocker, or go big. I've since ordered a 50trim and I hope that'll be enough and not make me wish I'd gotten a GT35r. These are very expensive lessons to learn.

Ive been running the Evo IX 20G TME Stage II from TC.com on my car for the last month and think its a great turbo. Its half the price of the larger turbos, straight swap installation and provided you dont want massive whp (350whp+) is overall an excellent choice. I run 24psi on pump gas (98 octane here in the UK) and it pulls hard.
Im not sure whether it is a good upgrade from the Evo 8 turbo but i went to this 20G turbo from a TD05HR 16G 9.8T (an Evo 4 turbo) so it was well worth it.
I dont have dyno results to support this but I doubt a standard TME turbo would give me the same results.
As for the big debate in the US about 5 vs 6 blade - dont know the power difference and dont care, it seems like a bunch of propoganda to me - in anycase there is no 20G TiAl compressor wheel that comes in a 5 blade.

Finally, you appear to be confused because there is no 20G TiAl compressor, period. The optional turbine and shaft are made of TiAl, not the compressors.
