AFAIK, the high pressure (HP) version is the default 255lph pump sold by EVO parts vendors.

One or two 255s feeding a low pressure swirl pot might keep a A1000 fed, but no one I know has tried this either.
I wasn't aware of this problem. If it is indeed a concern, it's may be worthwhile to remember that the EVO has a dual voltage pump circuit. One could conceivably wire the Aeromotive pump such that it is fed the two different voltages as is the in-tank pump, as opposed to being wired constantly 'wide open'. Or, one could wire the in-tank pump to remain constantly at high-voltage, and throttle the Aeromotive pump with the factory dual voltage system.

That is certainly an option. With DSMlink disabling that circuit I often forget about it. Aeromotive also makes thier own pump controller made just for this purpose, but IIRC, it's about 200 bucks. But another option none the less.
