is this normal?

This is the second time it has happened to me in the past week. When cruising in 4th or 5th gear at low rpms (only 2K rpm)...just driving really slow.... I notice my engine temperature needle on the cluster reads very low...it just keeps dipping lower and lower. I got off the higway and pulled over and let it idle for about 1 minute and the needle goes back up to normal level which is slightly just a tad below the middle mark. BTW when I cruise down a mountain road in neutral it does the same thing as well. Could it be that my aftermarket fmic is doing a good job cooling my engine?

car runs fine btw... is this normal?

Intercooler has nothing to do with engine cooling.

the fmic has nothing to do with cooling your engine.

have you changed your radiator hoses, radiator, or flushed the engine lately?? you may have an air pocket that the sensor is not being submerged in the coolant, thus reading lower at the gauge, gauge may be bad, or just not enough pressure in the system until you let it sit and idle.
