Thank you, I am aware of that.

I wasn't asking that, if you read my previous post, I was asking what turbo was best for my supporting mods.

lol chill lou, i was jus saying what ive seen, http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l5...annedImage.jpg

there is a dyno for a 50 trim kit AMS kit
Also it doesnt respond as well to race gas as a 30r or 35r is right, but those turbos are laggier than a 50trim, a 35r especially

Basically the way I see it, the BB 50 Trim is outdated by the FP Green. It has more lag and the same WHP so it cannot compete.

Stock VIII Turbo with 10.5 Hotside
Evo IX Turbo
FP Green
3065 or larger
HTA 35R

And so on, go big or go home.

An FPgreen will not put out the same power on pump a 50trim will. Most 50trims will put out 400+whp on pump gas. Greens usually do in the 360-380whp area. For the price yea theres not a whole lot of difference but a 50trim will put out more power.

Over 400WHP on pump gas for the Green. It also has a MEGA Torque advantage, the 50 trim may have a slight PEAK advtanage way up top but by then it is too late. It is the Area UNDER the curve, and the Green OWNs that.

There are only a handful of Green setups that can come close to put out 400whp on pump. 90% of 50trim setups do. Torque is not that far off. Its about as far off torque as the green is hp. Drag racing the green will lose...its been done. Going around town or 1st-3rd pull the green is no doubt better. Much better response and awesome turbo. I am no way knocking the green as I am probably getting one. Just saying as far as pump gas goes a 50trim will be faster. All around no doubt the green is a better turbo though. I believe the 50trim to be a in between turbo that is too small. I think the 3076 is the cutoff line thats worth spending $4k for a turbokit.

The FP Green has hit the 10's at over 130MPH. The FP Green is about half the cost, people who don't ake 400WHP on pump are inproperly tuned. Torque is WAY far off, it spools as stock, the 50 Trim is MUCH later in comparison. Again it probably makes more PEAK WHP. You cannot compair a twin scroll stock sized turbo to a single scroll with a much larger hot side that adds so much more lag. It's a nice turbo, but the Green Eclipses it.

I had to make this same decision...

Spool wise you cant beat the stock 10.5 twin scroll exhaust housing, but if you want to make peak power without running 30psi or at some point plan to go to a 2.3L stroker.... Then the green will fall short, it will also run out of steam due to the smaller hot side mod 4 mod...

Anyway this is how I see it:

Flow Ratings

GT3071R = 44lbs/min
T3/T4 50trim BB Garret = 45lbs/min
T3/T4 50Trim BB Turbonetics = 49lbs/min
T3/T4 50Trim BB AGP = 50lbs/min
GT3076R = 52lbs/min
T3/T4 57trim BB Garret = 54lbs/min

EVO 9 20GLT = 47lbs/min (but to max it out the hotside and the boost required is a limitation)

Then that would be 95% of all the people that own greens. There are only a few people that have made 400whp on pump (which half weren't even on stock maf). Btw stock turbo has hit 10's, doesn't mean its better than a gt30 that only run 11's. The Green may be the best bolt on turbo because its the ONLY one. 50trim is still faster...may not be cost effective for the gains but it is still faster. Anything past 4k and the 50trim makes more power so its not "way up" there.

You beat me to it. I'll quote dsmtimes.org on the Evo': 1 50-trim in the top 100 and 5 or 6 Greens, 3 or 4 of which posted faster/quicker times. The 50-trim posted 11.38, which will soon be a full second+ behind the fastest Green. It looks like the only 'PUMP' involved is when the 50-trim has to bend over and bow to the GREEN.

Put a 50tim on your car and see how it does. I don't know of anyone with a 50trim kit that has a lightened car, running lightweight wheels/Hoosiers. Full weight Evo's on stock motors and pump/meth have trapped 126+mph. Take alot of weight out of that, put some real tires on it and see what it runs. Most of the lightweight/hoosier cars run 35R's and bigger.
