what do i need in order to achieve 380whp?
i would like your opinions on what new upgrade I can do to get 380whp without upgrading my FMIC or turbo.
Current mods:
helix v2 downpipe
buschurracing high flow cat
buschurracing catback w/ magnaflow
injen intake w/ upper ic
walbro fuel pump
hks evc @ 21-22psi
dynoflash @ 301/295
what new mods should i add in order to achieve 350whp on stock turbo/stock fmic?
so far what i have in mind is 272's, test pipe, and lower ic pipe. but i dont think its enough to get me into 380whp
edit: no nitrous, no race gas...

JXS1984,
Let me save you money, DON'T GET AN UPGRADE INTERCOOLER unless you get a bigger turbo or turbokit.
I went through that recently, the stock intercooler is fine for the stock turbo and viceversa.
I am currently trying to achieve that kind of power as well with my mods. I have a easier path, I could go to a dynojet dyno and put 100oct or 116oct and kaboom I would have the desired 380whp but I am finding out the limits on stock turbo on a Mustang Dyno and on 91oct first.
Summarizing, don't get an intercooler yet.

Carlos, no offence, but i read your posts all day long, and you really have no clue of what you speak........ I mean you said you are selling your UPGRADED FMIC because it caused you "LAG"

K5, a large FMIC normally does reduce spoolup, because it takes the turbo longer to fill up the larger volume.
JXS, to sniff 380whp, you need:
- GSC 272s ($440 shipped from Total D)
- SMC Alcohol Injection - run 26-28psi
- Buschur ported/coated stock manifold
- Buschur ported/coated stock 10.5 hotside
- Buschur coated SS o2 housing
- Buschur LICP
There ya go...maybe even 400wtq with your 380whp.

or a ebay o2...
AMS makes good LICP
could go with some JUN cams if you can afford them( or hks or other ones, some of the higher spec cams require valve train )
could port **** yourself just make sure the outlets match! my very first time doing it took a while but came out very well! and this was on my 1g eclipse, the butt dyno was strong and i eliminated boost creep so i know the porting helped =)
not trying to bad mouth buschur at all just keeping your eyes open!!

+1 someone finally said it.
I gained roughly 10 hp with the TXS FMIC and didnt lose any spool. In fact it seems to come on earlier.

As per the cooling core being lower, yea, I wouldn't deny that part but the stock intercooler seen to be working better for me.
Last but not least, I would feel more comfortable if you reword your statement from : you have no clue to a perhaps: I disagree with you
To make my statements more credible and more reasonable, I wouldn't generalize on upgrade intercoolers however I will make clear my recent intercooler upgrade did not do much on my car even after the tuning.

jxs1984, before asking these questions on the forum I would do a search. This will alleviate any flame potential problems you may encounter.
I am just relaying to you my experiences with this.
However, listen to warrtalon. His advice is helpful even though sometimes he can come off as harsh sometimes. But please understand that he has to deal with the same repeated questions over and over again.

You sure about all that. I went with a bigger intercooler but it still fit the stock pipes and noticed a decrease in 10 degrees in temp. Seems worth it to me...
