I've got the same noise in my car.
It seems to be the gearbox. I can hear this noise as well when I'm driving.
If someone can explain us where this noise comes from, I'll be happy to know

Its not the throw out bearing He said the noise goes away when you push the clutch in.
If the noise goes away with the clutch in you are stopping the transmission from running with the engine meaning the gears stop spinning.
It would be the needle bearings on the ends of the input and output shafts. I think all manual trannys do this when they get some miles on them.
H*ll everything I drive does this, I noticed that my Evo is already starting to make this noise, and I only have like 850 miles on it.
I wouldn't sweat it.

That said, the needle bearings can produce this noise too, 8 out 10 times I have seen its actually the throwout bearings though. The 2 others where wear on the output shaft.

Your description is confusing because the clutch is disengaged when you push on the pedal. I highly doubt that it is a bearing from your description but that is just keyboard mechanics. It is probably normal gear noise from the torsional vibration of the engine transferring to the transmission.

Doesn't the throwout bearing get pressed into the pressure plate fingers by the clutch fork when you push down on the pedal?

can it be a used clutch? I am at 33K and my car does this same thing......funny thing is that my 1st gear and reverse seems to slip and I haven been stalling my car once or twice. I am thinking it is a used clutch unless someone convinces me otherwise.
